Know More19th January, Mumbai: Today, Senvion India, a leading manufacturer of wind turbines, made the announcement that its factory in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, has shipped out its first set of rotor blades. The blades are currently being transported to the JSW Energy site in Tuticorin as part of its 591 MW project.
Blades is a key component for the wind turbine in ensuring performance & reliability during the WTG lifecycle. This 65m blade along with its mould is designed by Senvion’s R&D teams in India and Germany.
Amit Kansal, MD & CEO, of Senvion India, said: “Senvion India has worked tirelessly to achieve this momentous occasion. We have ramped up production capacity at all our facilities to meet our annual target of 1 GW of wind turbine production. The first set of blades will be delivered to the JSW Energy Tuticorin site from our Trichy factory, and we are grateful to JSW Energy for choosing us as a partner in their renewable energy journey. I'd also like to thank our R&D team, manufacturing team, and suppliers for assisting us in meeting project deadlines.”
